Lenders Repayment Trust
A special purpose vehicle set up to ensure payment of interest and principal amount on due dates to the lenders/investors on behalf of the borrower/issuer. Under the arrangement, the borrower/issuer funds the trust account in advance of the due date of payment. The funds are invested in defined liquid funds on a daily basis, which generates earnings for the intervening period.
